We chose Jake because he came highly recommended to us from our wedding co-ordinator. We are so glad we went with him, he was able to create a ceremony space that felt warm, sincere and natural. We firmly believe the ceremony should be the highlight of your wedding, after all that’s why people are there! And we felt Jake understood that and was the reason our ceremony stood out to us.
He was able to see the groom prior and settle some nerves, and when I turned up to the chapel, he also met me and instantly I felt we were dealing with a seasonsed professional, yet someone who was still invested genuinely in our moment. Prior to meeting, our email exchanges were always prompt and easy. Jake gave us so many options to build our readings, vows, and optional prayers; which were important to us. I felt like I had someone who really could help me get specifically what I wanted into the ceremony.
My only regret is that we didn’t book him for our MC ! If you have the budget, I would strongly suggest you snag him for both! He’s a strong presence when it comes to public speaking but can also make the crowd laugh. I had multiple people tell me that they felt the high energy and excitement in the room which was really built by Jake and I’m sure that would have carried into the night.

Where do I even start with Jake. He feels like a brother from the moment you meet him. He has this warm and super present feeling about him. He is so prepared and organised that any input he has into your wedding is seamless. He is so flexible on the day yet keeps everything moving as it needs to. My husband wore Louis Vuitton loafers to our wedding and after a little push from the groomsmen it was decided my husband would do a “shoey from the louie”. Jake orchestrated the guests to gather around the dancefloor, organised with the dj to play a song which had the words louie louie in it… He’s honestly just a top bloke and you will never regret having him as your celebrant and MC… Do both. He’s so fantastic at what he does. Big love to Jake. Another thing was that we aren’t religious at all. But Jake being a pastor, and writing God bless in his sign offs in his emails had such a wholesome feeling about it all. Both Jake and Lainey are a dream to work with. I wish we could do it all over again.

Jake, we can’t even describe how incredible you were. Every single person complimented on how good of a job you did with the whole day.
Jake managed to deliver a heartfelt, personal and entertaining ceremony all while respecting our wishes. He was extremely professional, and worked with us every step of the way to provide us with an experience that we could not fault. Jake also MCed our reception - he kept the night at a perfect tempo and was at ease shifting and pivoting when things didn't go to plan.
To top it off, we received many comments from friends and family asking how long we had known Jake - was he an uncle? An old friend? Much to their surprise, we had not met in person until he was performing the marriage ceremony.
We would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Jake for both his celebrant and MC services. Our choice of vendors made our big day as perfect as it could be, and Jake played a big part in this.

If you have ever heard of people being at the top of their craft, having honed in their skills through years of experience and effort, and they just appear perfect at it? Well, this is Jake. And Perfect is not me being hyperbolic.
Jake was the perfect wedding celebrant. From the moment I sent an enquiry, all the way through, he was warm, professional, and showed genuine care. He made the paperwork easy and simple, and did a lot of the administration work for us. And when you are in the middle of organizing a wedding, this is a life saver.
The ceremony itself was incredible. He was able to bring the exact right mood to the ceremony. It was intimate, while also having my wife and I, and the guests, laughing at various stages. I had numerous guests come up after the ceremony and ask how long he had known us, because he spoke like he had known us for years.
We also had Jake MC our reception, and that couldn't have gone better. The venue staff commented how great he was, and said he was the best MC they've had. He kept everything going according to plan, so we got to relax and enjoy our night.

Jake was incredible. He has lots of amazing reviews and they are all true!! Jake was so helpful throughout the planning process, we never felt we couldn't reach out to him if we needed something. The ceremony prep was fun and great to follow. We had one phone call with Jake prior to our wedding, his calendar was fully booked and he still squeezed us in. Jake went above and beyond for us on the day, he was always there to help me with my dress or pass me a drink for a sip in between the thousand things going on around us! and was always making sure we knew what needed to happen next. Jake made our ceremony so authentic and warm, we wanted cute, lovey but chill and fun and he nailed it. Our guests didn't stop laughing or smiling all day. Our guests have all come up to us since and commented about how amazing Jake was, Jake is truly special and we can't thank him enough for being there with us on our special day! He was also our MC and he was so aware of how to ensure guests had a great time, minimising interruptions and maximising atmosphere, we would absolutely recommend him to everyone. And as a bonus - he filmed parts of the day for us so we got a sneak peak the next day! That meant the world, to be able to wake up the next day and see it play out on camera.
