Jake proved to be more than just a celebrant – he was an unexpected highlight of our whole celebration. Uncertainty was my first response when my then-fiancé text me to share he had found and booked our celebrant without running it by me! However, a single click was all it took to understand the zero hesitation, with us very quickly asking Jake to also be our MC.
Jake's role in our journey wasn't confined to just the formalities; he was the calm in our storm of pre-wedding jitters. The art of making two spotlight-averse people look forward to being the centre of attention is no small task, but Jake made this seem effortless. On the day of our vows, his ability to weave intimacy, personal anecdotes, and humour into our ceremony made for a lasting memory, not just for us, but for every guest present.

Transitioning into the evening, Jake’s role evolved from celebrant to MC . He connected with our guests as if they had known him for years. His intuitive timing and engaging humour brought structure and joy to our celebration, effortlessly coordinating games and interactions that brought laughter and a light-hearted spirit to the room. All that was left for us to do was enjoy the day.

Jake’s exceptional presence has left a lasting impression, with guests continuing to speak of his role in our wedding today. To say he exceeded our expectations would be an understatement; he redefined them. Where do we even begin? From the moment we first spoke to Jake, we knew he was the perfect choice for our wedding. His warmth, humor, and genuine passion for what he does immediately put us at ease. On the day, he went above and beyond to bring our vision to life, creating a heartfelt and memorable ceremony that felt so personal, like he had known us forever. I honestly cannot begin to express how amazing Jake was throughout our entire process of getting married. In terms of planning our day, Jake made every step so smooth and simple, and for two people who really struggle with making final decisions this was invaluable to us! From helping us organise the ceremony, to giving us advice on how to write our vows, to providing suggestions on how to improve the run sheet - Jake was there every step of the way and made everything so easy. On the actual day, we received non-stop compliments on how amazing Jake was. Our guests could not stop raving about how effortlessly funny he was, and how he really brought the energy to our ceremony and reception. Jake honestly went above and beyond for us, checking in constantly to see how we were feeling and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, and also offering to run to the 7/11 to get more batteries for our camera! You could tell he was there to ensure everything was about my husband and I and that we were at the centre of every decision he made, and we can’t thank him enough for that. It's so hard to express in words how wonderful it is to be Married by Jake! After years in the wedding industry, I still remember the first time I experienced one of Jake's ceremonies and knew that he was the only person I could imagine, guiding us beautifully to our I Do's.

To know Jake is to know how kind-hearted, joyous and thoughtful he is as a person. But to watch him in ceremony is to know those things as well, straight away, as his guests and new friends. He has a calm but electric energy and the beautifully intimate atmosphere he creates during your ceremony is unmatched. It's a complete joy to be a bride and groom standing beside him on the day and equally to be a guest.

Jake, What can we say! Yesterday may have been our wedding day and it is something that we will always remember.
