Jake proved to be more than just a celebrant – he was an unexpected highlight of our whole celebration. Uncertainty was my first response when my then-fiancé texted me to share he had found and booked our celebrant without running it by me! However, a single click was all it took to understand the zero hesitation, with us very quickly asking Jake to also be our MC.

Jake’s role in our journey wasn’t confined to just the formalities; he was the calm in our storm of pre-wedding jitters. The art of making two spotlight-averse people look forward to being the centre of attention is no small task, but Jake made this seem effortless.

On the day of our vows, his ability to weave intimacy, personal anecdotes, and humour into our ceremony made for a lasting memory, not just for us, but for every guest present. Transitioning into the evening, Jake’s role evolved from celebrant to MC. He connected with our guests as if they had known him for years.

His intuitive timing and engaging humour brought structure and joy to our celebration, effortlessly coordinating games and interactions that brought laughter and a light-hearted spirit to the room. All that was left for us to do was enjoy the day.

Jake’s exceptional presence has left a lasting impression, with guests continuing to speak of his role in our wedding today. To say he exceeded our expectations would be an understatement; he redefined them. For any couple getting married, especially those who may be nervous, Jake is not just a recommendation – he is a must!
