Dear Jake,
You truly are incredible, our wedding day exceeded our dreams. We had all the ingredients for a good wedding, yet you took those ingredients, weaved your magic and produced not just a good day, but the most memorable and amazing experience we and our guests could ever have hoped for.
You nailed the brief! We wanted faith, fun, relaxed and celebratory, you delivered that in spades. Our day never felt awkward or rehearsed thanks to your great advice and delivery. You’re a gifted presenter, a whiz with people, calm in the storms and the best MC and Celebrant we could have imagined.
Whether it was photographers, band, bridal party or staff, you were in the background ensuring they were fed, watered, running on time, relaxed and on their briefs......this is more important than most people could ever realise, it sure mattered to us and the day went so smoothly.
How did you fill a dance floor with almost every guest in the middle of a daytime wedding? That was just the best!
One of the most common questions we heard from guests at the wedding was “who’s this Jake guy, he’s amazing”
With a guest list full of musicians who've worked years in weddings and functions you'd be pleased to hear that many of them said it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. Most of our guests thought you must have been a longtime friend as your attention to detail was so precise and genuine.
Thank you for going ABOVE and BEYOND, you didn't just read a run sheet, you ran the entire event. From asking our guests if their drinks needed topping up, to checking in with us, calmly keeping our anxieties at bay, especially when Maddie was panicking about being late...We acknowledge this would've put more pressure on you. A HUGE apology for that and THANK YOU for keeping us on target.
Lastly, even when the gig was up, you patiently and calmly helped coordinate the bus guests for the pub, that was very much outside your remit.
Thanks again for being such a talent, our only regret from the whole day is that we didn't get a photo with you, just the three of us. If we were told we had to marry each other another 1000 times you'd get 1000 calls from us.
